    Hi, Ed!

This is a quick question just based on my own curiosity because I heard you mention having an editor take a look at our website copy before we submit it for your and Susan’s review. I realize this information may come later on in the program, so I apologize if this is something already answered, but do most freelance writers tend to hire their own editors to work with, and therefore, also build this into their pricing?

    Thanks in advance!

[Might not make the call, but I’ll catch the replay!]

As I’m prospecting, I’ve run across a few companies in my niche that are also hiring in the marketing, digital media, “outreach” area. Obviously, I’m not looking for a full-time job with them, but I’m wondering what to do with this information.

    1. Is this a GOOD sign, or a TURN-OFF for me as the prospector? Because they are looking for full-timer, are they LESS likely to hire an outside freelancer, in your experience?

    2. If it is a good sign, how do I leverage this in my warm emails? Do I actually say “I see you are looking for someone to help with your marketing efforts. Would you consider working with a freelancer?” or something like that? Or do you just play dumb and stick to your usual approaches (I.e. I noticed that you have recently started blogging on your site….”)

    Thanks, Ed!

Hi, Ed! Madalena again here. 😉 I have another question for you, as I just finished Session 1. I have what I feel are two fairly strong options for positioning based on my background and experience. However, I don’t know which to choose (or can I choose both?). And if I choose one, how can I make that decision, as I don’t really know myself which one is more viable. Is this just a case of testing the market? Or do you have other thoughts on how to do this? I plan to join today’s call, so hopefully if there’s a chance to explain more I can do that today.

    Thank you!

I have sent out my first batch of emails to cold prospects that I believe would fit my services. Would you recommend a slightly amended follow-up email, maybe in 6-8 weeks, if there is no reply? And would you follow up only once?

W: Sent out another set of e-mails – 20 total now. Seem to be back on track.
