    Posted on behalf of Karen:

First, I love your teaching style! Can I make oodles of $$$ by being your professional student???

I am getting muddy trying to clarify my best direction. Help please.

    Hearing Loss

When we started this process last spring, it was very focused on hearing loss and navigating as your own best advocate. I have a warm email list of 20+ providers that I have developed relationships with over the years. Attached is what was to be a blog ( no longer going in that direction) it is better suited for a case study, I think.

Kim and I also started the process of building our website Hearing – you.com, and a draft of the warm email.

    Healthcare content writing

We also have contacts in this arena who have expressed interest in working with us as they are redoing websites (hospitals) but we haven’t constructed a website for this.

Clinical Research Writing and Monitoring Services

When we spoke last month we were wrapping up this, however… life has just handed us a 30K contract for monitoring services. A local company referred us;-)

This could be maintained as a separate LLC, and pursued with a little more effort. This company has sent me work a couple of times and I have not been proactive about going for more.

So….thoughts on how to combine? Keep separate? Keep me focused???

The upside of having crazy medical issues…we are well connected;-)

    Thank you again!

    Hi Ed,

I’ll try and make it onto the call today; it’ll be 3am in my part of the world!

But in case I don’t, here’s my question:

As something of a perfectionist considering a niche in the scientific/engineering realm where accuracy is paramount, getting started feels a bit intimidating because I think I have to produce top-notch material from day 1.

I know that’s unrealistic, but any tips on how to get over that anxiety? There’s likely a fair dose of impostor syndrome lurking in there.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tim

Hi Ed, nice to be here, thanks for this opportunity.

I have some questions so thank you for letting us pose them beforehand.

    – I am not a native English speaker. How much of an issue is this? Since most (if not all) of the initial communication will be by e-mail, will it matter?

    – I live and work in Greece. How much of an issue is this for US companies?

    – I work in the public sector here and other sources of income (besides my salary) are scrutinized. For this reason I cannot approach my current network. What should I do with my site or Linkedin profile? (or any other profile for that matter).

-Should I use a pen name for communications (after all, my name is not the easiest to spell or pronounce) or that will diminish my credibility?

On another level you have multiple recording of previous calls in the Program page . Should I start listening to them now or later?

When everything works out smoothly how is payment made or is it it premature to ask? I am only asking mainly because I am wondering what kind of questions I need to ask my accountant about any other arrangements that I may need to start making earlier.

I have many more questions but I believe that most will be answered during the Program.

Thanks again, best wishes for the holidays and the new Year!

    Dimitri

Hi, Susan, I am currently dialed in from the 316 area code. Just sitting back and listening in the background. Only way I could connect is to dial in. Can’t see or do chat…takes forever to load on my phone. Probably just going to be content to listen today.

    Thanks CM
