I wonder how to incorporate my executive interviewing experience as one of my advantages in my positioning and also possibly as a related service I could offer. By executive interviewing I mean conducting interviews with B2B executives on behalf of a market research/consulting firm. I’ve done well over 1500 of these with some pretty senior people. In fact, wish I could interview the target customers of every writing client I get because the insights from those kinds of interviews are invaluable in crafting messages and writing copy. At the same time I wonder if my interviewing experience won’t be meaningful to someone who is looking for “just a writer”. How can I finesse thus in my positioning? Do I need to stick to just offering only writing services? How can I give potential clients the option of having me interview their customers or target customers (in addition to doing writing) without sending a confusing message?

    Hi Ed,

I would like to ask if you can mention any examples of B2G copywriters. Can you talk about the requirements/peculiarities of this aspect of copywriting?

    Best Regards

    Hi Ed,

The person we talked about before had postponed our phone meeting. I acknowledged her message and then followed up to reschedule but no reply as yet. How long do you reckon I should wait before trying again?

    Kind regards,

    Tim
