    From Julie:
I’m still working on the positioning exercise and I’m finding myself stuck on determining the markets/industry I want to target. The vast majority of my experience/expertise is in healthcare and health topics. For the past two years I’ve worked almost exclusively with hospitals and healthcare institutions. While that’s where I have cred, I’m not sure that’s the type of clientele I want to attract with my website. But I’m not quite sure 1) IF that’s a smart idea and 2) what other options I have. Is it too narrow to focus on “mission-focused and health-minded companies and institutions”? I’ve also pondered targeting health-healthcare-technology (at least based on my previous experience). I don’t want to exclude healthcare companies or hospitals, but I definitely want to expand the type of work I’m doing and the type of clients I have.

I don’t want to stay in this “brainstorm” mode too long and stagnate my progress. But I also don’t want to make a rash decision here, as my website content (and future clients) will largely be determined by the approach I take here.

I know you can’t decide this for me. But I’d love any insights you might have on what I’m pondering in general (targeting a new or slightly different type of client based on my immediately previous experience) or new markets/approach in particular I might consider as I evolve my business.

    Thank you!
