Now that I have LinkedIn Premium, I have a question. How do I decide the size of the companies I want to send warm emails to? Right now I have my search set to 51 to 10,000 employees. Based on your experience, what headcount range would yield the most success?

My website contains a blog with several posts going back to mid-2015 when I overhauled my previous site. However, it’s currently “hidden” due to lack of much needed attention since my (gulp!!) last post in Nov 2017. Any thoughts on how such a time lapse is perceived once I go live again (somewhat giving the impression that “no one’s home” or would anyone really care or notice)? I know I do on sites with outdated (or at least stale) blog content. Or should I not be so concerned about that issue and just get down to the business of generating some fresh content ASAP and move on from here and not worrly about the time gap?

Could you discuss moving toward longer form pieces (vs. blog posts and articles) in terms of income? What is the best way to move away from short articles and blog posts to longer form pieces? My favorite client, who pays $1 a word, recently had me do three “ultimate guides” that were 3,000-ish words (with charts that paid extra) and that really helped me see the power in longer form work in terms of working smarter and taking more free time. I would be so much happier and less scattered doing three or four of those types of pieces each month rather than, say 20 blog posts. But I find myself pitching blog posts to companies when I do warm emails because that’s where I have experience. I’d love to know more about what types of long form work are best for high-income business writers to pursue, how we can make the transition, and if it’s realistic to have a goal of only doing longer form work? Thanks, Ed!

In terms of my gameplan, I’m working on WEP and lead nurturing. Is it time to revise my gameplan to add a new component?
